Exit Strategy

Exit Strategy

1) Identify the exit strategy you plan to make. Do you intend to sell your business in the next 5 years for a large return? Do you intend to stay with the business for several decades and retire? Do you intend to protect the venture as a family business, and pass it down to your children?
-       When I execute this business venture, I eventually hope to have a partner join in and eventually have them buy me out and let them take full control of it. The reason is simple, I enjoy the idea if helping UF become more efficient for students in the library, but I don’t necessarily think it is going to be the venture I would on my whole career

2) Why have you selected this particular exit strategy?
-       I selected this exit strategy because being young allows me to still find opportunities that I am also very passionate about until I land in something, I will want to keep working on till I retire or even pass down to someone in my future family

3) How do you think your exit strategy has influenced the other decisions you've made in your concept? For instance, has it influenced how you have identified an opportunity? Has it influenced your growth intentions or how you plan to acquire and use resources?

-       I don’t think it has made me less passionate or dedicated to this venture at all, I am just aware that this is something introducing me into the world of entrepreneurship and I could continue to grow as an entrepreneur

  1. Hi Sydney, I also chose to eventually leave the venture relatively early. I have to agree that this didn't make me any less excited or dedicated to my venture. I just had to realize that being in this business long-term wasn't something I wanted. However, I still want to put my all into it while I can. Thanks for sharing this post!
