Assignment 18A: Creating a Customer Avatar
For the purpose of this blog, I think I will talk about the individuals who be interested in the product I think will benefit the UF student body as a whole.
The typical individual I see using my product would be a male or female, either an undergraduate or graduate student, who finds leaving their apartment to a more studious area, such as Library West, more beneficial. This student takes their studies rather series, and usually plans on spending multiple hours in Library West working on lengthy assignments or studying for an upcoming exam. I can also see this student choosing to come use my product for the space the booth provides, allowing them to work more comfortably. Also, a student may use this product to study with others, and collaborate in a studious, conversation type environment.
What I Have in Common: I am extremely studious during the semester and love to find comfort and space in the booths provided at Library West. I also tend to be more productive and studious when I leave my house at times and are motivated by those around me who are also studying for their exams.
Coincidence? I don’t think this is a coincidence at all. I believe I came up with the idea in the first place cause it was a problem I experience personally and I think those around me experience as well.

Hi Sydney,
ReplyDeleteThis was a great description of a typical consumer for your product, I think this gave great detail of what demographic you are targeting. I also agree that this target audience is not a coincidentally similar to us as our opportunity was created from a problem we observed. Many students are also more productive when they are away from distractions such as at the library so I believe this will reach many other students as well.

Hi Sydney, I think your description of the prototypical customer for this product solution was well thought through and thorough. It would also be helpful to add that this kind of student may be in a major or pursuing a degree that requires group work, if they are going to be consistently using a booth. There may be other features to these booths that can be added to your idea to best serve this demographic if you are aware of the minute details of what they are doing and who they are with when using this product. I agree with Sophia, many students are more productive when they are away from home and in a study environment.
